It was the So You Think You Can Dance finale and it was HOT! There were no disappointments, as it was filled with some of our favorite SYTYCD Season 4 performances and TV's first ever Popper Dance Off. Judge Mary Murphy & Dmitri surprised us with a Latin number and Nigel Lythgoe stepped it up and tapped with Debbie Allen's Dance Academy. That was an adorable performance. Putting the cherry on top for all the teenage fans was an impressive song from the Jonas Brothers.

The finale was star studded but it was all to build up to the moment we all really tuned in for, the announcement of the winner of Season 4 So You Think You Can Dance. For me it was an emotional night. We've come to know these dancers and got involved in their journeys. So when they start to cry after being voted off and watching their farewell videos, I start to cry too. Maybe for them it's a feeling of sadness for working so hard and feeling a moment of disappointment for not winning, combined with so much gratitude and optimism for the future. For me- it's simple, I cry when I see someone else cry. Okay, it's more than that I'm really proud of them for achieving part of their dream!

Courtney Galiano was eliminated 1st, given a 4th place finish. Yes, lots of tears. Then the real shocker, Katee Shean was eliminated next. Many predicted that she'd win the title. America was then left guessing who would be Season 4's winner, Joshua or Twitch? I'm sure everyone placed their bet, and I'm sure it was close to 50/50. None of that mattered though. It would come down to who actually picked up the phone to vote on Wednesday night that would determine the results.

Joshua, Dance Dish is so proud of you! Congratulations! You have worked so hard to be the best and you deserve this honor! You always brought your best to the dance floor and gave us some of the most memorable performances in SYTYCD history. I have been totally amazed by your abilities. Seriously, can anyone really jump higher than you? Joshua, you are so talented it leaves me somewhat speechless! You have been flawless! But the best about you- you are so grateful and humble. That's admirable! After the tour, please stop by Dance Dish to share what it's like being so awesome Best to you always!

DANCE DISH FAREWELL: COURTNEY GALIANO, KATEE SHEAN, TWITCH BOSSS
Oh where do I begin! Courtney- You have gained the title of America's dancing sweetheart! There is an innocence on and off the dance floor that I like about you. But at the same time you can transform yourself into any role and turn completely gangsta on us..lol. I never understood why some didn't think you'd make the final 4. You are an amazingly trained technical dancer with a hip vibe. Courtney, you have IT and I know you'll continue to be successful!
Katee- Proof that you were unstoppable- tonight you danced in 4 of the 9 favorite judges performances of the season. Hello- that's what I'm talking about! I am amazed that you dedicate yourself the way you do to every character you dance to. You commit 100%. I am so curious what route in dance you will take after the tour. You can do it all so I want to know where you want your career road to lead you to. Katee, you are a stunning dancer, a true entertainer!
Twitch- The marketing genius- haha. You were by far the best branded dancer on the show! Smart man. Twitch, no one can touch your style and charisma. I know how bad you wanted this. I think you had to work the hardest in the different genres of dance, but it wasn't going to phase you because that was part of the road to the top. You tackled it all with class but kept it real and had so much fun! This season wouldn't have been the same without you. I agreed with Nigel, I could've watched your solos all day long. Entertain me with great technique and I'm sold. Congratulations on your 2nd place finish!

SYTYCD Season 4 has come to an end. We all must find something else to do now on Wednesday and Thursday night. The Olympics and then Dancing with the Stars will end up filling up our weeks, but we will all still anxiously await the return of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5!

POPPER DANCE OFF: CHBEEB VS MURAINE

Let's be real, both Phillip Chbeeb & Robert Muraine are the hottest in the world of popping. It was an entertaining showdown! As the judge of Dance Dish I'm going to declare a winner. If Robert didn't exist and Chbeeb were up against another popper, hands down he would be the winner. But on SYTYCD tonight, that wasn't the case. Robert was very much present and positioned his body in ways that Chbeeb couldn't compete with. I think you know what's coming. Here at Dance Dish, Robert Muraine is king of this battle! Actually, the judges agree with me so Robert rules both internet and tv. That is until Chbeeb calls for a rematch.
