DANCING WITH THE STARS: Party Is Over For Cloris Leachman & Corky Ballas
DANCE DISH FAREWELL: CLORIS LEACHMAN & CORKY BALLAS
I think America and the judges got it right this week sending Cloris Leachman & Corky Ballas home tonight. Their run may have come to an end but it doesn't take away from their thrilling six weeks on Dancing with the Stars. Cloris has been a comic relief that can't even compare to the Jeffrey Rosses or Adam Corollas of the past. She's an 82 year old actress with enough spunk and sarcasm to keep the other contestants, judges, and audience rolling week after week. You could always count on Cloris for a laugh and always look for her to interrupt someone else's camera time.
All in good fun. What kept Cloris & Corky in the competiton the first few weeks was Corky's cleverness in putting Cloris's personality and humor into their performances. It was risky and sometimes involved shocking grabs of body parts, but it paid off with votes. The last few weeks they changed their strategy and got to the details of footwork and a classier show. It was working well until they fell victim to the Cha Cha last night.
I don't like to see Cloris & Corky voted off because they wanted so much to keep dancing. Cloris & Corky- You will truly be missed. Cloris- You are a beautiful woman and very inspiring to take on such a monster of a show at 82. You rock! I will never again say that I feel old (I'm only 29). From now on, my attitude is I'll be doing it all still when I'm 82.
I enjoyed every minute of you on the dance floor and I'm so happy for you that you had so much fun! Corky- It has been such a pleasure getting to know you. It was your first time on Dancing with the Stars and it better not be your last! Please come back because you are very entertaining. You worked so well with Cloris. You were patient, professional, and gave her an amazing Dancing with the Stars experience. I also love that you are Mark Ballas's dad. You two are identical. We love Mark so it's a given that we would want more of the same.
Cloris Leachman & Corky Ballas- I am waiting for the day when Dance Dish is even cooler and you'll give us an interview for your fans. That is an invitation!!
FANS- I INVITE YOU TO STICK AROUND AND LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS OF LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR CLORIS & CORKY. IT'S BEEN SUCH A FUN WEEK!
Talk to you soon,

Tami

Cloris is sweet and funny. I'll miss her on dwts. I admire her drive to still want to be her best at her age. That's the kind of grandma I want to be, lol.
