THE UNITED STATES WIN SUPERSTARS OF DANCE

I just finished watching the bittersweet finale of SUPERSTARS of DANCE. I proudly say sweet because the UNITED STATES (rah rah US) took home the gold with a 1st place finish. I hesitantly say bitter because I'm predicting that tonight was the last we'll see of this international dance show. I am all about expanding my interests in different genres of dance but there is NO WAY you can fairly judge them against each other. The UNITED STATES won so I have no bones to pick there but the other countries deserve more respect for their performances from judges in that genre. It only makes sense.

I don't want to lose focus of the good that came from SUPERSTARS of DANCE. We now know The Groovaloos who popped, locked, and flipped their way into our lives. Tonight they won by rolling mostly hip hop style and kicked a few finishing touches in there to secure the championship for the UNITED STATES. Our Popper star, Robert Muraine, contributed to the overall points but finished 3rd in the Solo category. I think there was some inside politics going on there because tonight was the best I've ever seen him dance. That is with no disrespect to India and Russia, as they gave stunning performances. Maybe the detective side of me wants to uncover a reality dance show conspiracy. .

So that's it. Short and sweet tonight. I thank you for stopping in and supporting Dance Dish! You dishers (yes that's you) are the best!

CONGRATULATIONS THE GROOVALOOS & ROBERT MURAINE! The UNITED STATES rocks the dance world!

Don't forget to stop back on Thursday, January 29th to see Qis Walker & Mariel's Exclusive Interview with the one, the only....me. Next on the interview schedule is Courtney Galiano of SYTYCD and Phillip Clyde Brenier of Dance War, with many more to follow! And of course the return of Dancing With The Stars on March 9. It's getting exciting!

See you Thursday!
